About the Event
This ritual circle will be slightly different for my birthday celebration, which is October 26. I would love if each of you could bring something to offer in the form of whatever you want: a dance, a poem (you wrote or inspires you), a story, a song, a wisdom teaching, lead us in something, perform something, an herbal creation, read something that inspires you or makes you think of me.......feel free. Each will get at most 15 minutes to share.
I hope to delve deeper into just a couple of my favorite dances including Baba Yaga, a dance I choreographed and love doing around the fire this time of year. We get into our "Pestle Power Poses" and get very witchy.
We will dance a couple dances in sacred patterns, on the earth, holding hands, in the steps of our ancestors. In our dance we may be sharing in traditional Balkan, Roma. Armenian, Near Eastern, and modern sacred circle dances.
Throughout all ages and cultures, traditional circle dances were used to honor the divine, to heal, to affirm connection to the earth and each other, to build community and celebrate rites of passages and life transitions. The danced patterns illuminate the web of these connections. It is where personal and universal healing can occur.
The dances are joyful, meditative, mournful, full of beauty, longing, life, and celebration!
This Circle is for you if you want to:
* Feel the embrace of ancient embodied wisdom
*Experience personal healing and nourish your body, mind, and soul *Create an embodied sharing community *Align yourself more deeply with the cosmos's rhythms and cycles *Be a dancing constellation *See what's behind the thinning veils of the worlds *Share in each other's gifts
*Be on a magical horse farm!
Donations go to Wind horse Stables for hosting! Thank you!
