About the Event

Please join me in circle, as all of our ancestors did, dancing sacred patterns, in synchrony, holding hands and each other through the whole mystery and madness of it all. We will be celebrating Ederlezi, Beltane, the New Flower Moon...the earth is flowering and so are we. Let's help each other to rise to the calling of our times. Let's celebrate new life, new beginnings, seeds sprouting, the smell of earth, and rekindled inner fire through body chanting, sacred geometry, moving mandala dances.

We will be outside and start with a few Balkan inspired Spring rituals...joining forces with the Spring Emergence of life and fertility. We will be sending our wishes in the wind, rolling on the earth, and swinging...possibly make willow wreaths for us to wear.

Then the circle dances. We will be also be dancing traditional Balkan, Roma, Armenian, Near Eastern, and modern sacred circle dances. Throughout all ages and cultures, traditional circle dances were used to honor the divine, to heal, to affirm connection to the earth and each other, to build community and celebrate rites of passages and life transitions. The danced patterns illuminate the web of these connections. It is where personal and universal healing can occur.

This Circle is for you if you want to: *Align with earth based European Indigenous traditional women's dances * Feel the embrace of ancient embodied grandmother wisdom *Be in embodied women's community prayer *Deepen your connection to women’s traditions *Be a part of a women's ancient lineage built on mystery rites, respect, honor, shared leadership and wisdom *Experience a form of body chanting, movement medicine, and sacred pattern dancing *Experience personal healing and nourish your body, mind, and soul *Feel the alchemy of sacred plant tea ceremony and dance *Align yourself more deeply with the cosmos's rhythms and cycles *Attune to the seasonal transitions through earth body aligned practices *Be a dancing constellation

The dances are joyful, meditative, mournful, full of beauty, longing, life, and celebration!

Registration is necessary so I can plan accordingly

 Sliding Scale $20-30

Balkan Outdoor Spring Rituals: 3-4 Tea Ceremony & Circle Dance: 4-6pm Potluck: 6-8  Bring something you want to nourish yourself and others with. Check in with me or write here about food sensitivities/allergies. I am GF and I know several that are.

(You are welcome to leave after the dance but I do ask if you are coming to the dance to be here at 4pm. There is a level of entering and creating sacred space, firming the container, a stepping into the liminal, and a deepening alignment amongst participants that becomes disrupted if you arrive once we have begun. Thank you!!!)

I hope the weather cooperates. My basement studio is under construction so we don't have that available for dance. We can also dance in the rain! Dress to be outdoors.
